Terms of Service
Last updated
These Terms of Service govern your use of tikameds.com and anything you buy through it. By using the site, taking the eligibility quiz, booking a provider call or placing an order, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.
Who we are
Tika Meds ("Tika Meds", "we", "us") runs this website and handles orders, payments, appointment scheduling and customer support. Tika Meds is not a medical practice and does not practice medicine. Medical care is provided by independent, US-licensed medical providers at our affiliated medical practice ("Providers"). Prescriptions are filled by state-licensed pharmacies ("Pharmacies"). Providers make their own clinical decisions, and nothing on this site replaces their judgment.
Not for emergencies
Who can use Tika Meds
- You must be at least 18 years old.
- You must be located in the United States, in a state where our Providers are able to treat you, at the time of your provider call and when your medication is shipped.
- Everything you tell us, in the quiz, at checkout or on your provider call, must be accurate, complete and about you. Providers rely on it to decide whether treatment is safe. Do not order for anyone else.
- Tell your Provider promptly if anything changes, including new medications, new diagnoses, side effects, or pregnancy or plans to become pregnant.
Medical care and prescriptions
- The eligibility quiz is a screening tool, not a diagnosis. A result saying you may qualify is not a promise that you will be prescribed anything.
- After you order, you book a call with a Provider, who reviews your health history and decides whether treatment is appropriate. The Provider may decline to prescribe, prescribe a different medication or dose from the one you chose, or change or stop your treatment at any time, based on their clinical judgment.
- Results vary from person to person, and we do not guarantee any amount of weight loss. Weight-loss figures on this site refer to published clinical trials of semaglutide and tirzepatide at therapeutic doses.
- Articles, guides and other content on this site are general information, not medical advice for you. Talk to a Provider or your own doctor before making decisions about your health.
- Tika Meds does not replace a primary care doctor. We encourage you to keep one and to tell them about your treatment.
Compounded medications
Many of the medications offered through Tika Meds are compounded, which means a state-licensed pharmacy prepares them for an individual patient under a Provider's prescription. Compounded drugs are not FDA-approved and have not been evaluated by the FDA for safety, effectiveness or quality. They are not the same as brand-name products. Tika Meds does not manufacture or compound medications: products shown with Tika Meds labels are compounded and dispensed by independent, licensed pharmacies, and your pharmacy's name appears on your prescription label.
Ozempic® and Wegovy® are registered trademarks of Novo Nordisk A/S. Mounjaro® and Zepbound® are registered trademarks of Eli Lilly and Company. Tika Meds is not affiliated with or endorsed by either company.
Orders, pricing and payment
- Prices are shown in US dollars and include your provider care and shipping unless the site says otherwise. The total shown at checkout is the amount you are charged.
- Your card is charged in full when you place your order. Payments are processed by Authorize.net. Your full card number goes directly to them and never reaches our servers.
- Each order is a one-time purchase of the supply you choose. We do not enroll you in a subscription and will not charge your card again unless you place a new order.
- Some higher doses cost more. If your Provider prescribes a dose with an extra charge, we will tell you the amount before you are billed for it, and you can decline.
- We do not bill insurance. If we list a price by mistake, we will contact you before your order ships, and you can cancel for a full refund.
Refunds and cancellations
- If your Provider decides treatment is not right for you, we refund your order in full. You do not need to ask.
- You can cancel for a full refund any time before your Provider approves your treatment. Email us to cancel.
- Once your prescription has been sent to the pharmacy, it may no longer be possible to cancel. Contact us as soon as possible and we will do what we can.
- Prescription medication cannot be returned or resold once it has been dispensed, so we cannot accept returns or refund medication that has shipped. If your order arrives damaged, is not what your Provider prescribed, or is lost in transit, email us within 7 days of the delivery date (or the expected delivery date) and we will replace it or refund you.
- Refunds go back to your original payment method and usually appear within 5-10 business days, depending on your bank.
Shipping
Medication ships only after a Provider approves your treatment, and only to the US address you give us. Injectable medications ship with cold packs. Store your medication as the instructions describe once it arrives. Delivery times are estimates, not guarantees. Please make sure your shipping address is correct: we are not responsible for orders lost because of an incorrect address.
Telehealth consent
By booking a provider call or placing an order, you consent to receive medical care from our Providers through telehealth. You understand and agree that:
- Telehealth means a Provider evaluates and treats you by video, phone or other electronic means, without being in the same room as you.
- Telehealth has limits. Your Provider cannot physically examine you, and may decide that you need an in-person visit, lab work or care from another clinician before, or instead of, treatment through Tika Meds.
- Your information is transmitted electronically. We and our Providers use reasonable safeguards, but no electronic system is completely secure.
- Your Provider may ask you to confirm your identity and location before treating you.
- You can ask for a copy of your medical records from our affiliated medical practice, as your state's law allows.
- You can withdraw this consent at any time by emailing us. Withdrawing it does not affect care you have already received, and you remain free to seek care in person elsewhere.
How we contact you
When you give us your email address or phone number, you agree that we and our Providers may contact you about your eligibility, order, appointments and care. These messages are part of the service. Email is not a secure channel for urgent medical questions. We will only send you marketing messages if you agree to receive them, and every marketing email will let you unsubscribe.
Using the site
Please use the site only for its intended purpose. You agree not to give false information, pretend to be someone else, try to access areas or accounts that are not yours, disrupt the site or its security, or copy the site's content in bulk. The Tika Meds name, logo, text, images and design belong to us or our licensors, and these Terms do not give you any right to use them.
Disclaimers
The website is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties about the website that are not stated in these Terms, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not promise that the site will always be available or error-free. Medical care is the responsibility of the Provider who delivers it.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, Tika Meds will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits or data, arising from your use of the site or your order. Our total liability for any claim about the site or an order is limited to the amount you paid for the order the claim relates to. Some states do not allow these limits, so they may not apply to you. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.
You agree to be responsible for claims and costs that result from false information you gave us or from your breach of these Terms.
Disputes
If you have a problem, please email us at [email protected] first. Most issues are resolved quickly that way, and we ask that you give us 30 days to try before starting any formal claim. These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Maryland and applicable federal law, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. This does not take away any protection the consumer laws of your own state give you.
Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The date at the top of this page shows when they last changed. Changes apply from that date and do not affect orders placed before it.
